When Is the Polestar 4 Release Date?

The Polestar 4 has already launched globally: China started receiving deliveries of the EV in late 2023, followed by Europe in mid-2024. As of December 2025, the first delivery of the new Polestar 4 for sale in the U.S. has already been made. We expect to have a showroom model at our Santa Clara Polestar space soon, but you're welcome to order yours through our dealership today.

Polestar 4 Trims

The Polestar brand makes it simple to understand their vehicles' trim levels, because each is named according to the motor it houses. The new Polestar 4 for sale offers the following two trims:

• Long Range Single Motor
• Long Range Dual Motor

These Polestar 4 trims have near-identical, minimalistic cabins. Both feature a standard Charcoal-colored MicroTech interior, though upgrades can fit the cabin with a tailored-knit fabric in Mist gray or Bridge of Weir leather in Charcoal or Zinc. Standard heated front seats help offset chilly mornings, and wireless device charging ensures you can stay connected.

The center display is a 15.4-inch easy-clean touchscreen where you can access your 360-Degree View of the vehicle. An available electrochromic roof can turn from transparent to opaque, while standard adjustable, solar-system-inspired interior lighting helps you set the cabin mood. Exterior mirrors are both frameless and heated, and the power soft-close tailgate is ideal for families on the go.

Like most new Polestar models, the Polestar 4 is set to revolutionize the EV world. Take home a single-motor model for better electric driving range, but opt for the dual-motor design if all-wheel drive and higher horsepower are top priorities.

• Long Range Single Motor: Dishing up 272 horsepower and 253 pound-feet of torque, the Polestar 4 single-motor setup is a fantastic entry point to this EV family. It's built with standard rear-wheel drive, which means it earns the lineup's highest EPA-estimated driving range of up to 310 miles.¹ Not only can this sleek savant tow up to ⁨2,000 pounds when properly equipped, but it can also replenish its battery from 0% to 100% on a cost-effective Level 2 home charger in just 11 hours.²
• Long Range Dual Motor: All-wheel drive and an additional motor join the mix in this trim level, an EV masterpiece that churns out 544 horsepower and 506 pound-feet of torque for an incredible 3.7-second jump to 60 mph – perfect for frequent highway commuters. Though this dual-motor configuration shares its Level 2 charging time with its single-motor sibling, it earns an EPA-estimated 280-mile range³ and has a higher maximum towing capacity of 3,500 pounds.⁴
